Rush Limbaugh shouting.
The home of 'hate radio' including The Rush Limbaugh Show, has had a bad day, bad week, bad quarter, and bad year. Billboard Magazine reports IHeart Media (formerly Clear Channel) just posted a 2014 quarterly loss of over $119 Million:
UPDATED: The radio giant, led by CEO Bob Pittman, posted a wider fourth-quarter loss as media and entertainment revenue rose 2 percent.

CC Media Holdings, the parent company of radio giant Clear Channel, on Thursday reported a widened fourth-quarter loss.

Bob Pittman: The 2014 Billboard Power 100

The company, led by chairman and CEO Bob Pittman, posted a quarterly loss of $309.2 million, compared with a loss of $191.3 million in the year-ago period.

Total revenue was virtually flat at $1.69 billion as media and entertainment unit revenue, which includes radio, edged up 2 percent.

This news came after Wall Street Journal and Time Magazine both gave dismal statistics, reports, and predictions about Limbaugh and the talk radio industry. The two mainstream media outlets credit social media campaigns for causing Rush Limbaugh's current problems, and Rush Limbaugh's current problems are causing the radio industry's current problems. Seems like Clear Channel's CEO Bob Pittman is overdue in cutting company losses by not yet cutting hate monger Rush Limbaugh.

These recent losses add to a huge company debt of billions, as reported by the LATimes last September:

The company has carried a large debt load since its leveraged buyout six years ago, with long-term debt currently topping $20 billion, according to filings with the SEC.
Meanwhile, the sponsor boycott against Limbaugh via StopRush, BoycottRush, Flush Rush and the social media coverage by news outlets large and small, is thriving. The sponsor petition hit 100k about 10 days ago and has picked up 17k more signatures since then, some being signees from the far Right Wing. Rush is so hard up for sponsors these days, he's been caught sponsoring himself.

We know Rush Limbaugh is being funded by the Tea Party, which is funded by the Koch brothers. That funding is most likely the reason Limbaugh is still on the air, and one can't help wonder if Bob Pittman is also being funded. Why else would he continue to air The Rush Limbaugh Show on approximately 600 radio stations nationwide when Limbaugh is dragging the radio industry down? Rush has also been losing radio stations. Perhaps payola will be exposed one day. Either way, the boycotters and concerned consumers continue to do a victory dance.

To get involved and help support the boycott while helping to remove the homophobia, racism and misogyny Rush Limbaugh promotes daily, most anyone can do some or all of these easy things at no cost, and with little effort. One can simply avoid buying from sponsors that support Limbaugh's dangerous hate speech, and:

Rest in peace Kossack, Richard Myers. We will finish this.

UPDATE: Special thanks to Kossack RerumCognoscereCausas for the reminder Clear Channel is carrying a debt of billions, mostly due to Bain Co. (formerly co-owned by Mitt Romeny). It was a nice addition to this story and title.

UPDATE #2: The Limbaugh Sponsor petition is now over 120,000+ signatures. Here's to the power of the people.
