Rush Limbaugh's radio parent, IHeart Media (formerly Clear Channel) continues to see more setbacks and losses. At the end of February, the mega media company reported a quarterly loss of $309 million. They continue their quarterly/yearly losing streaks, adding to their outstanding debt of over $20 billion.

Friday, IHeart CEO Bob Pittman announced the company is closing its San Antonio headquarters. Pittman may never admit the company's financial problems have anything to do Rush Limbaugh, even though Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal, and and aSponsor Boycott Petition which contains 125,000 signatures, confirm social media campaigns are working. It should be noted iHeart/Clear Channel picked up quite a bit of their debt via Bain 'Mitt Romney' Capitol deal.

Limbaugh has had his share of protestors. Media Matters has been documenting Limbaugh's lies, racism, sexism and LGBT-hate for over a decade. But this protest, which began three years ago, is larger and much more concentrated than ever before. It began after Limbaugh called an unknown student a 'slut,' on air, for three days. Sandra Fluke (now better known because of the incident) was advocating for insurance-covered birth control pills (also to be used for medicinal purposes).

The boycotting activists, consumers and general public celebrate each small/large victory against Rush Limbaugh and his supporting networks, iHeart and Cumulus. Cumulus is also experiencing heavy revenue losses due to the protests, and there is industry talk they will be dropping Limbaugh from their Chicago AM station, WLS (according to media expert Robert Feder.) The difference between IHeart and Cumulus, besides the number of radio stations, is Cumulus admits its main problems stem from the Limbaugh sponsor boycott.

It would behoove both networks to drop Limbaugh before the 'hate-radio,' shock-jock takes down all of talk radio. Because of the the boycott, sponsors are spooked by negative talk shows. Thousands of companies have not only left Limbaugh's show, but they have also pulled ads from other controversial talk shows, leaving talk radio unable to generate the revenue previously earned. One would think the other talk show hosts, adversely affected by the Rush boycott, would rebel against Limbaugh themselves to protect their own livelihood. Rush Limbaugh, on the other hand is being financially padded by the Tea Party's billionaires Koch brothers who use Limbaugh as a political talking head and propagandist.

We may never know the business transactions between Rush Limbaugh, IHeart, and Cumulus, or how badly they are doing. We do know Limbaugh, after mocking the boycotters, is now trying desperately to bully, discredit, and sabotage the protest - to no avail. We do know he is talking in a defeatist mode on his Facebook page. And we do know that the voices of everyday people participating in the Limbaugh protest are being heard. A piece of hate media seems nearing its end. That is a sign - of victory.

It's easy to join/support the protest. Here are some simple things you can do that really do make a difference:

Thank you Richard Myers. Rest in peace. We miss dear friend, and we will finish this.
